Going Rogue

A few years ago, June was the most popular month to get married in. In fact, June was known as the “Bridal Month.” Why were so many brides choosing the month of June? People believed Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage, would bless them with happiness, prosperity, and bearing children.

As the world continues to change, couples have gone rogue when it comes to traditional marriage proposals, rings, and weddings. Couples today are opting to live together before deciding to become engaged, and marriage proposals are no longer a private or intimate moment. Instead, they are an extravagant public event showcased for the world on different social media platforms.

At the center of every proposal is the ring. Couples are breaking from the traditional, princess-cut diamond ring and adding their own personal style. Unusual cut stones, birthstones, colored stones, rose gold, and open rings are a few of the latest choices. Having an affordable, custom-designed, non-snagging, durable ring is possible.  More couples are ditching the month of June and opting for a fall wedding. September and October have now become the most popular wedding months. Wedding guests are very appreciative of the cooler temperatures.

No matter how you choose to propose, what ring you buy, or what month you decide to get married in, remember it’s okay to go rogue.
