Cold and flu season are in full swing and people are scrambling to disinfect everything in sight except for their jewelry. With the time demands of work, spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, children, school, sports, church, etc., keeping our jewelry clean and disinfected isn’t on our radar.
A simple and effective way to remove the dirt and germs from your rings, watch, necklace claps, and earrings is to use a solution of anti-bacterial liquid soap and warm water (not hot water). Rings and earrings can be soaked in the solution for 15 to 20 min. Watch bands and necklace claps can be dipped into the solution for a few minutes. After dipping or soaking in the solution, all jewelry pieces should be rinsed with warm water and dried with a soft cloth.
